Hello, and welcome to my blog! I’m Bella, a fourteen year old writer and a follower of Jesus Christ. I live in Tennessee with my parents, twin sister, twelve-year-old sister, and ten-year-old brother. I love reading and running, while I also enjoy playing soccer, crocheting, baking, and growing flowers. And of course, I absolutely LOVE to write!
I started writing when I was about six years old, and have been writing ever since. When I was young, I always dreamed of being published someday, but I just figured that I would have to wait until I was older.
But that all changed when I was twelve. I realized that authors don’t have to be adults who have earned college degrees in writing, or have websites with thousands of followers. I realized that authors can be teenagers who are trying to change the world with their words.
That was over a year ago, and ever since then, I have been writing with the goal of being published as a teenager.
About six months ago, I joined the Young Writers Workshop, instructed by Brett Harris (co-author of Do Hard Things) and Jaquelle Crowe (author of This Changes Everything), both authors who were published as teenagers. This Workshop has taught me how to move forward in my writing with the goal of being published.
If it weren’t for YWW, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I probably wouldn’t even have started this blog! (To learn more about the Young Writers Workshop and how to enroll, click here).
I am now working on a historical fiction/romance/action novel that I started a few months ago, and I’m planning to finish the first draft in the next few months. When I’m not writing my novel, I’m either writing poetry or posts for this blog.
On this blog, you can expect me to post every Friday -though sometimes it may be Saturday if I forget 😊. I will post some of my poetry, tips on writing, book reviews, and every once in a while a story, along with monthly guest posts by other awesome bloggers.
I started this blog because my goal is to inspire and encourage others with my words. I want my stories and poems to give my readers a sense of love, joy, and happiness. I want my writing tips to help other writers when they’re struggling.
And most of all, I want to write for the glory of God.
Thank you so much for joining me on this amazing adventure!
