My Summer Book List 2018

I don’t know about you, but for me, school is finally over! This means that I have an entire summer ahead of me to write, hang out with friends, swim, and -of course- sleep in. But out of all the fun and exciting summer activities, I always seem to spend the majority of the summer reading, which is something I absolutely LOVE to do!

I’m the kind of person who never knows what books to read, and I think that’s because I get overwhelmed by all the good books out there and I don’t know where to begin. If you’re planning on reading a lot this summer and you also never know what books to start with- or you just want some new books to read- then I think you may be interested in my summer book list.

About a month ago, I made this summer reading list with almost fifty books. Now, you may be wondering, “Why did she create a summer book list in April?” Well, I had planned to start the list once school got out, but, being me, I couldn’t help myself and went ahead and started with the first book on my list.

This book list is full of different genres, but I read in a big variety, so this is the kind of stuff I like. And all the books aren’t for the same age group. Some are for teenagers, but some are for kids, too. (I’ve actually already read a bunch of these, but I thought it would be fun to reread them).

Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading these books over the summer!

  1. Thanks for sharing your summer book list. 🙂 I’d definitely recommend reading “Backwards Beauty” by Jessie Minassian (nonfiction) and “Be Rebellious” by Megan Clinton!

  2. I’m glad you are going to read narnia and conspiracy 365 – trust me you will love them! Have you ever read ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society’ trilogy by Trenton Lee Stewert or the ‘Jack Mason Adventures’ by Darrell Pitt? If you haven’t I would recommend them.
P.S. They made a tv series of conspiracy 365, if you are interested.

    1. I actually had already read Conspiracy 365 and was rereading them because I really liked them! I saw part of the tv series, but I watched it on YouTube and they didn’t have all the episodes out. I’m just now getting around to reading Narnia, and I love them so much! I’m so glad I finally decided to read them! 🙂 I haven’t read ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society’, but I’ve heard it’s really good. I’ll have to look into it! Thanks, Rue!

      1. You’re welcome! You might be able to find the full 365 tv series in a library – that’s where I found it. I love the Narnia books too! Have you seen the movie adaptions of some of the Narnia books?

      2. I’ll have to look! Thanks! 🙂

I think I saw “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” years ago, but I don’t remember it much. I’m hoping to go back and watch them all when I finish the books.

      3. I think that you will enjoy them. They have made three movies – just in case you don’t know the other two are ‘Prince Caspian’ and ‘The Voyage of the Dawn Treader’.
